APOCHROMATIC LENSES

A lens system that offers apochromatic magnification 2.5 × while allowing depth of extremely high field of approximately 100 mm of resolution. With  a range of 420mm, you can go without effort from 370 mm to 470 mm of  distance. With our lenses, you can expect to have a field of vision of 90 mm without losing any definition. Our lens weigh 4g.

Optik Medic builds its telescopes depending on the work distance required for each surgeon.

An apochromatic lens or apochromat is an improved version of the achromatic lens (or achromat) for assuring the correction of chromatic and spherical aberrations. The achromat limits itself to the correction of focal distances of two different beams of wavelength (generally red and blue). Apochromat enables correction of focal distances of 3 different wavelengths. At equal focal distance, the residual dispersion of the colors is less than the one produced by an achromat.

The Apochromat also helps correct spherical aberrations on two wavelengths compared to only one wavelength with the achromat. The astigmatic correction of angled beams eliminates the distortions of optical aberrations.

SmithOptics Technology tapered lens technology

Visual distortion occurs when light waves hit an aggressively-curved lens causing it to bend or distort an objects true size or position. Imagine looking through a fish eye lens. What your eye normally sees, is stretched beyond reality.

Get the picture? Tapered Lens Technology corrects the distortion by progressively tapering the lens from the optical center towards the outer edges. Light waves are thereby delivered straight to your eye resulting in zero distortion and true optical clarity. What you see is what you get.
